In the winter of 1934-1935, according to H.P. Lovecraft's THE HAUNTER OF THE DARK, Robert Blake had settled down alone, to work... He had painted 'nameless, unhuman monsters', and 'profoundly alien, non-terrestrial landscapes' - and also, we are told, written five short stories, later believed lost. However, an exercise book, which belonged to a certain 'Robert Blake' of Providence, has been recently acquired - the contents, when deciphered, appear to be five thoroughly weird tales...
