A novel about a mystery, and an attempt to solve an elusive event in the past. Teifryn is a school history teacher, but he prefers to ponder on a tragedy that happened outside his grandmother's house years ago- especially when he hears how indifferent Laura (his grandmother's neighbour) was to her husband's ashes. In time, the scattered fragments of history begin to weave together.
