Publisher's Synopsis
Based on personal observation and experience, David's poems, written in accessible language and often in traditional forms, have resonance for many people involved in or dealing with many aspects of modern life. Step-children, meeting ex-spouses at events, children dying before parents, are among the topics that families today encounter.
David's poems address also some of the more extreme stressful situations, such as homelessness, gambling and suicidal thoughts. Yet, the overall feeling is one of the power of personal love and the infinite kindness of so many in society, enhanced by a joy in the natural world.
