Publisher's Synopsis
'Exporing the First Civilisations' has been developed to cater for the needs of teaching this topic in lower primary, an important change to the history curriculum in primary schools throughout the UK. It is published to cover the whole of Middle East history (Mesopotamia), but focuses on the Sumerians and Ur, the Babylonians and the later period of the Golden Age of Islam. It concludes with the Arabian Nights. This will provide coverage of all these topics in a single new book that is badly needed to match the new curriculum requirements.
