Publisher's Synopsis
An ordinary Tuesday morning of a commercial lawyer, Morris Miller, started all busy and productive. But the mundane routine of endless phone calls and negotiations of terms turned into a cry of distress and fear. Morris's assistant, Trudy, was taken aghast after she saw a gunman at the reception and swiftly rushed into the office of her oblivious superior. Mo, who at first made fun of Trudy's incredulous news, became serious and stern while quickly and calmly outlining instructions to his assistant for her to get all the staff out of the office. After Trudy left, Mo greeted the gunman cautiously and offered himself captive instead of the receptionist to try to defuse the potential for disaster.
The heroic yet life-threatening negotiation he proposed to the gunman, Barney, gradually alleviated the tension inside the building. The precarious gamble of life weirdly turned into a conversation that illuminated both the gloomy lives of Morris and Barney. It was a desperate moment that reunited Barney with his love, Leila and a spontaneous opportunity that led Mo to Jenny. Who rekindled the life in him. In the second meeting of Mo and Barney, the lost gunman became a hero as he helped Mo save his love, Jenny, from another dangerous encounter.
