Publisher's Synopsis
It's interesting to me to look at things and then be able to hatch an idea from my brain, through my fingers and into existence. I suspect that this process may be interesting to you as well.
That's what this book is all about. I'd like you to see what I see and get inside my brain a little and create with me. I have ideas to share, and creative nudgings and suggestions and even explanations (with step-by-step pictures!) of techniques and to make things.
Because I travel across the country, and around the world, looking at things, I thought it might also be fun to share some of those observations and adventures, in case they amuse you and make you think of something creative to do with the shared experience. And interspersed throughout are sketches I've made along the way. Make of them what you will.
So it's my hope that this book - part travel journal, part sketchbook, part creative guidebook - may enlighten your artistic journey! Let's see what we can see together!
Do You See What I See is a little philosophical, a little story-telling, a lot making! With creative suggestions, ideas, techniques and how-to step-by-step projects.
This book is a sketchbook, travel journal, creative guidebook, all in one. Entertaining and enlightening, and written in Christi's conversational style, the humor and easy instructions will ensure that this book has a special place in your studio and in your heart. Polymer clay is the main focus of the projects and techniques, but epoxy clay, resin and other materials make frequent appearances to give this a well-rounded mixed media vibe.
Any person who values creativity will find this an interesting read.
