They came to Earth to eat us. Homo sapiens became the Tschaaa alien's main meat source. Some humans fought, some tried to hide, others just died. Director Adam Lloyd arose with a plan to save some at the expense of others. The Protocol of Selective Survival. Did it make Adam Lloyd a traitor or a savior of the human species? But some in the Free Area, the Unoccupied States, saw the aliens as an Infestation, not as an opportunity for the advancement of civilization by being a "client species." Heroes and heroines would arise to meet the threat to human dominance on Earth.
