Publisher's Synopsis
Six people from Audition America hosted this event at a local shopping mall. Of more than 700 people who auditioned, about 100 finalists performed in two shows on two different days. I auditioned just four days before my performance on the last day of the event. There were about 50 other finalists that afternoon whose talent ranged from reciting original poetry or modeling to playing a musical instrument or singing. I was contestant 708.These were my audition scores: great entertainer, original performance, great voice, eye contact, and very articulate. My final score was also based on my introduction to the audience about the story behind Giacomo Puccini's aria.Audiences gather in theaters, churches, and opera houses worldwide to be entertained by extraordinary storytellers. Writers, actors, and musicians are uniquely trained to perform in public. Publishers produce millions of books and sheet music for performing artists and readers of all ages. Over time I gained an appreciation of classical music and opera. My dreams came true the day I sang an Italian aria by Puccini on stage to a small audience in 2013.
