Publisher's Synopsis
A simple journal for the Law Enforcement Officer in your life.I spent 17 years in Law Enforcement and family, friends and strangers ALWAYS wanted to hear stories about a day in the life of a cop. Inevitably these individuals would say, "I hope you are writing these stories down!" I never did because I thought I would always remember them. Lets face it, most of it is seared into our brains whether we want it to be or not. I made this journal because it is something I can use. I can write down events as they happen and someday I will be able to look back on my career and remember what I had forgotten. Some stories may be too hard to write about at this moment in time. Friend, I am going to give you a piece of advice I wish I had heeded early on. WRITE IT DOWN! Get it out. Tell yourself those stories in this book as many times as you need to in order to let them go. PTSD is real! Some officers get PTSD from a single incident while the majority acquire it cumulatively. This career/calling is intense and can eat at you in ways you never knew possible. Writing it out helps.I love each and every one of you and I hope you find this journal to be a great place to leave a legacy, start your memoir, or even heal. Your stories matter and YOU matter.
