The Sigillum Dei Aemeth is an 'Enochian' magical sigil created by Dee and alchemist Edward Kelley (1555-1597), circa 1681. On the back is an illustration of John Dee (1527-1609), an English mathematician, astronomer, astrologer, occult philosopher, and advisor to Queen Elizabeth I, who studied alchemy, divination, and Hermetic philosophy. As an advocate of England's imperial expansion, he coined the term "British Empire".
