How free-spirited Kat ever managed to survive for nearly eighteen years on a dinosaur world is a bit of a mystery. But it had been her only home since her parents (and the rest of their little town) had been marooned since before she had even been born.
Then it seems they are finally rescued when a multiverse ship, commanded by the Captain Boston, appears. The by-the-books captain allows a few of the castaways aboard while promising another ship will return soon for the rest.
However, the ship's tampered drive dumps them into a unknown universe, and they are lost. Was it sabotage or espionage? One of the castaways or one of his crew? Captain Boston has only questions.
The captain quickly discovers Kat is a stowaway on his ship. Was she somehow responsible? The captain does not trust her, but their very survival may depend upon her.
None of that will matter though if they can't find their way back. They are left with no choice but to go universe hopping. However, entering the wrong universe could be deadly.
