Publisher's Synopsis
This booklet is an expanded version of Peter H. Clark's The Black Brigade of Cincinnati, originally published in 1864. In this expanded version, footnotes have been added to provide insight to the people, places, and events that are mentioned in the original. Also added are select biographies of men that served in the Black Brigade and who would later achieve some status in their community. Illustrations have been added, as well as places that one can visit today to see the Black Brigade's legacy, along with a suggested reading list.
