Publisher's Synopsis

Manfred Mann was an English rock group, formed in London, England, UK during 1962. The band was named after their keyboardist Manfred Mann, who later led the successful '70s group Manfred Mann's Earth Band. The group had two different lead vocalists during their successful period, Paul Jones from 1962 - 1966 then Mike d'Abo from 1966 to 1969. Manfred Mann was regularly in the UK charts in the '60s, 3 of their most successful singles being, "Do Wah Diddy Diddy", "Pretty Flamingo" and "Mighty Quinn", which all topped the UK chart. They were the first southern-England-based band to top the US Billboard Hot 100 during the British invasion.
