The story is begins in a rural farming community in the rural community of Prospect. Danielle narrowly escapes the rigors of a full on assault; but did she escape the terror? Her story is one of strength and hope as she struggles with the trauma and fear of speaking out. Years later she is confronted by the very fears from which she had been running. Danielle is now faced with two choices- continue running and hiding from the monster or stand and face her worst fear. She makes a stand that brings about a cataclysmic change in her narrow perceptions and she moves boldly forward into new experiences. This is the story of an average teenager growing up in Jamaica faced with the stigmas associated with sexual assault, teenage pregnancy, colorism and religion.
