His science fiction stories and poetry appeared under the pseudonym "Francis Flagg" in the magazines Amazing Stories, Astounding, Tales of Wonder, Weird Tales and others. "The Seed of the Toc-Toc Birds" is a science fiction short story, published in 1932.
