Publisher's Synopsis
The 32nd Wisconsin Infantry was organized at Camp Bragg in Oshkosh and mustered into service on September 25, 1862. The regiment left Wisconsin for Memphis, Tennessee, on October 30 and moved through Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, the Carolinas, Virginia and Washington, D.C.It participated in the Siege of Atlanta, Sherman's March to the Sea, the Battle of River's Bridge, the Battle of Bentonville and the surrender of the Confederate army.The regiment mustered out on June 12, 1865, after it had lost 281 men during service.
