"What if the other kids think I am weird?" It is a gut-wrenching question to any parent. This book encourages children to embrace and love their uniqueness. Izzy felt out of place after visiting her new school. She was anxious and did not want to go to school the next morning. Her parents tried to reassure her. Later on, Izzy found a way to hide what she thought was an anomaly. However, it was temporary and thus making Izzy more upset. After a discussion with Buddy, she welcomed her uniqueness and was surprised by the reaction of the other kids. After all, she was worried for nothing. As parents, we try to understand our children's feelings and try to reassure them. We need to let our children know they are special just the way they are.
