Publisher's Synopsis
The majority of these interviews grew out of my daily drives for Uber and Lyft. Each time I picked up a new passenger I would ask them one question: What are some of the things you have learned in life? Most were very willing to talk to me, and I found many of their responses to be intelligent, thoughtful, occasionally humorous, and often very wise. After a while I decided their answers would be interesting to others and make a good book. So I created a form to be filled out during our short time together. I told them there was no right or wrong answer. I just wanted their honest thoughts. Most of my riders agreed to participate, and I promised to use only their first name, age and occupation, if they provided it to me.Eventually I expanded my base and posed the question to others I met in the normal course of life. I interviewed over 165 people from ages 5 to 95. Every person had unique lessons they have learned from life, no matter how long or short it has been.In the following pages are their answers, in their own words, to the simple question: What three things have you learned in life?
