Publisher's Synopsis
Enjoy coloring these classic illustrations from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by John Tenniel and Arthur Rackham
The story by Lewis Caroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson) is loved by many across the world but the original illustrations that accompanied this story are also thought to be classic.
While the quotes accompanying the original artwork are from Lewis Carroll's own words, the illustrations in this coloring book are from two separate editions which are; Alice's Adventures in Wonderland (illustrations by Arthur Rackham, 1907) and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland retold in words of one syllable (illustrations by John Tenniel, 1865).
This book is inspired by Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The original images by Arthur Rackham and John Tenniel have only been altered (without losing their essence) to create a coloring book with a difference. These are curated images, so not all are included based on if they were needed to give a complete (please forgive the pun) picture of the original story and if they would be fun to color.
These detailed drawings are not for the faint hearted. You will have to use all your coloring and creative skill to give these illustrations the justice they deserve.
What to expect from this adult coloring book:
- 49 detailed drawings from the original editions of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
- Illustrations from both the Arthur Rackham and John Tenniel editions
- Images including Alice, the Mad Hatter's Tea Party, the White Rabbit, The Red Queen and many more
- Quotes from around the pictures chosen
- Black printed backing to coloring pages to preserve other pictures
Every coloring page has a black background to stop bleed-through of your coloring medium. On the black page there is a quote from the book where the illustration is from. There is also a page to cut out at the back to insert for that extra safety net to protect the other pictures.
Discover the adventures of Alice and other Wonderland characters in a new way with these curated images from one of the most loved novels of all time.
