Following the passing of her terminally ill daughter, Rebecca, talented musician Tuesday Walters has given up on just about everything that once gave her life meaning. She now finds herself trying to scrape by on an assistant manager's job at the Spectacle State University Dining Hall, and therefore setting herself on a path that leads to nowhere. However, that path takes an interesting turn when another lost soul named Beatrice "Tricks" Swanson steps into her life. Though both seem like the biggest of opposites at first, Tuesday and Tricks gradually find they have more in common with each other than they once thought, and soon after discover that one thing will firmly bind them together, along with Tuesday's eccentric best friend, Brody Holt... the trio's love for making music. And when the opportunity of a lifetime knocks on Tuesday's door, she must learn to put the pain behind her, and allow her beloved daughter to look down from Heaven with pride as Tuesday and her friends become the superstars that they were meant to be.
