Publisher's Synopsis
Thirteen-year-old Jordan Shein thinks he has it made, living in Washington D.C., the nation's capital, with his family. During the week, he attends private school and plays basketball on the junior varsity team. On the weekends, there are plenty of things to do in the city. But all that changes when his father, an officer in the United States Navy, accepts a new position and moves his family to southeastern Virginia.
Jordan doesn't want to go and has a difficult adjustment at first. There's help on the way, though, including a couple of teachers who take an interest in him and his new best friend, Devin.
