Jean-Pierre Martinez is a French playwright and scriptwriter. He experienced first the stage as a drummer in various rock bands, before to become a semiologist in the field of advertising. He worked afterwards as television scriptwriter, and came back to the stage as a playwright. He has written close to a hundred scripts for television and almost as many plays. Today he is among the most played contemporaries playwrights in France, and several of his plays have been translated in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
