Publisher's Synopsis
Too young to enlist in the Army, with the help of an old friend, Tom procures a position on a transport ship sailing for France. His plan is to sail from the U.S. to France and back, repeating this until he's old enough to enlist. Adventures await him: some are exciting, some are frightening, and a couple are funny.
