Aliens have tasked Curie, a geneticist and dancer, with changing the pharmaceutical industry to solve the global opioid crisis. As a recovering alcoholic, will Curie succeed in changing the heart and mind of Chavet & Vita´s CEO, Emek, or will an alcohol relapse ruin the entire mission? Aided by two guardian alien spirits who can observe her thoughts and influence her dreams, Curie´s journey takes her to Chicago to stay with Emek before he meets with the US Food & Drug Administration to get the potent opioid carfentanyl approved as a painkiller. Curie meets Rob at a twelve step speaker meeting when he shares his personal story. Rob's experience might help Curie convince Emek to do the right thing before it's too late.
