Publisher's Synopsis

This is the story of German General Horst von Halen, as he recalls for us the invasion of Great Britain in 1940. He tells us of the landing at Dover and drive north to London against fierce resistance, and the battles for London and the Midlands, ending in Scotland.

He tells us of his promotion to field marshal and, as he drives north, about concern that a female Russian observer is really spying on them.

There is also his younger brother, who is an SS officer, and his part in the battle, as well as his dealing with Adolf Eichmann in his plan to deport the Jews of Britain to Palestine. Horst also tells of his dealing with Hitler, in trying to bring the campaign to a victorious conclusion for Germany.

He also recalls how he lost his older brother in World War I, and how it informs his hatred of the British.
