Publisher's Synopsis
Daddy's Shoes is a book that can provide an option to improve the way we are raising our youth in the United States of America. The issue with our young people and their attitudes and lack of respect are with both males and females. However, in Daddys Shoes, you may notice a slight tendency to address a male view of development based on the authors male experience of growing up in America.
Daddy's Shoes is a cry to the nation that we are so into ourselves as adults and parents that we have not adequately dealt with our issues and problems, and that spills over to how we raise our children. This negligence has negatively impacted generations of our youths mental, emotional, social, and spiritual development. This matter is addressed by providing biblical scripture, research, and the authors personal experience as an African American male in America.
We have tried various methods and with the continued absences of fathers and broken, blended families on the rise, it has weakened the character of our young men. They do not know how to be sons and have no idea how to be husbands, which usually results in being poor fathers.
This is a problem that we need to address and have serious conversations about what we are doing to produce such poor citizenship within the boys we continue to bring in the world who are struggling to become men.
