Publisher's Synopsis
Hank lives in a log cabin at the edge of a large woods with his mother and father. Since he doesn't have an iPod or any other electronic devices, he spends many lazy summer days exploring the woods. Hank talks to the animals and even the trees, and he imagines what they say to him. Hank loves them, and he believes they are his friends.
On this adventure, Hank hears a strange "Eee . . . eee" noise. As he strolls along the path, he meets his friends and follows the strange sound to an abandoned mansion deep in the woods. With a bit of courage, he threads his way up a spiral staircase into a darkened bedroom where he discovers the source of the mysterious sound.
