Publisher's Synopsis
The life of Pater Beems is severely turned upside down when he is accused falsely of fornication. When he meets Werner, he thinks he has found his lifesaver. Werner will actually turn out to be in distress instead of his savior. This book is pure fiction but many of the situations described are based on true events. Mary Brinkman was asked to write a horror story for a low budget film by a Swedish filmmaker. But when the story was on paper, they could not settle on the business. The author decided then to publish the story as a book. Her fascination about the bizarre twists and functioning of the human brain and its interest in the occult are the foundation of this book. She mentions that she's fairly normal.
