Publisher's Synopsis

It has been said many times, "there is nothing you can do to cause God to love you more and there is nothing you can do to cause God to love you less." God's love for each one of us is immeasurable and unfailing, even when we have strayed far from the paths of righteousness. Darkness Exposed...Passages from the Spirit is a collection of stories of how God's love has reached desperate men and women even in their time of greatest need. The stories in this book are written in the first person and the reader will identify with the desperation and sin faced in each situation. Each conflict shows God's love for each person regardless of his or her circumstances and provides encouragement even when life appears to be the darkest. Barb grew up on Gwen-Bar Ranch, north of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. During this time she met and later married her high school sweetheart, Fred Engels. They raised two sons, Fred Jr. and Stephen. They have one grandson, Devon. It was as a young adult that Barb became a new creation by accepting Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. In Barb's own words, "He is the reason I write for He gave me the words to write." Barb has written two other books, 'Stranger Within' and 'When Two Worlds Collide.' Barb now resides in Mara, British Columbia, Canada, with her husband, Fred.
