Publisher's Synopsis

This book attempts to prove in a logical way who or what God is, assuming a few premises. Although most people believe in God or gods, some do not. Why, if God is good and all powerful, is there suffering? Why do innocent children suffer through no fault of their own? Why do we die? (God is supposed to be all powerful: he could have made us immortal.) Why do we get diseases? Sure, we may bring on some of these things by ourselves (eating poorly, starting wars, taking unnecessary risks), but why are there diseases caused by mosquitoes or microscopic germs or genetic causes? Didn't God create mosquitoes, germs and genetics? Didn't God create everything? Isn't God good? Or is the idea of God just some superstitious idea based on fear or naivety, an idea made obsolete by the scientific era? Are people more intelligent if they do not believe in God? Or are atheists 'fools' as the Bible relates (Psa 14:1)? Many attempts to negate these paradoxes of God have failed. Some call the problem of these paradoxes, the "problem of evil." But the only true description of the true God must explain these paradoxes. The goal of this book is to define God through scripture and logic using the paradoxes of God to help illuminate and explain. . Are contradictions the proof that people's views about God are mistaken? Or are the contradictions a key in ascertaining the truth?
