While Jeneva Douglas's son Quincy was growing up, he always took priority over her love life, but now that he's a teenager, his handicaps require professional care. Jeneva send him to a care facility where she meets Mecan Tolliver, the handsome residential director. Mecan is instantly smitten, but before their relationship even gets off the ground, they clash over what is best for Quincy.
