Fifteen-year-old Tamarithe and her brother, Nathen, ten, miraculously survive a deadly attack on their small village. Rescuing an injured Priestess from the temple, they flee, to discover that an army of strangers is bent on killing everyone in their realm. Warned by a prophetic dream, they head into the wilderness, followed by soldiers who intend to ensure their deaths.But, they soon discover, matters are far from simple - the God of an unknown realm threatens their Goddess, and is resolved to destroy both her and everyone associated with her.
