Ginger Davenport is back and sleuthing it up with her silver and purple furred werewolf friend Valerie! When Valerie is accused of being involved in the disappearance of some of her werewolf packs' children, Ginger takes it upon herself to get to the bottom of the dastardly deeds. She finds herself drawn into some tumultuous adventures, the least concerning being her continued commitment of fashion faux pas by dressing decked to the nines in a red, sequined, taffeta dress to become the town's best dressed undertaker, and the destruction of her beloved mocha machine by the man she has decided is the devil. But the real mystery is one of her own mind. Can Ginger grow past her social and emotional constraints to save her best friend from becoming the town's scapegoat, or will she have to stand by and watch as the battle between the human world and the paranormal grows even more strained, threatening to tear apart everything and everyone she holds dear?
