North American Aviation P-51 Mustang American made is a long-range single person fighter bomber propeller plane used in World War II and in the Korean War. The Mustang was designed in 1940 by North American Aviation NAA In 1943, P-51 Bombers were in use by the United States America Air Force Eighth Air Force escorting bombers in European raids over Germany. The USAAF Ninth Air Force used the P-51 Mustangs as fighter-bombers which helped secure air control which helped to win WW II.
