In today's Instagram society, we all have become amateur photographers. We point our cell phone cameras at our food, our pets, our family members, and even ourselves. We share these pictures we create with the world via social media. We focus our cameras on the things that are important to us, and we want the world to know about it. So what is important to you? What do you find yourself focusing on the most each day? If we are focusing on the wrong things, our lives are thrown out of balance. Even focusing on things that are good or innocuous, like sports, movies, books, or social media, can become bad if we focus so intently on them that we forget about focusing on God. Jesus said to him, -'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great commandment. (Matthew 22:37-38) God wants us to focus on Him. If we love what we focus on and focus on what we love, then we need to focus on our relationship with Him in order to live a happier life. If we're not used to focusing on Him, when we do we're in for a life-changing experience that will be more fulfilling and satisfying than anything else. As we transfer our focus to God and our relationship with Him, we'll find that He truly is the giver of good things, He really does have a great purpose for our lives, and He loves us far more than we could ever imagine. And it all starts with our focus. In this short Bible study, we'll discover how to change our focus and, in so doing, learn to love the life we have and live a life we love.
