Publisher's Synopsis
Quinn (BEANS) Fagioli is a thirteen-year-old tomboy who has only lived in Mill Creek, New Jersey, for three months. But since she's been there, she's managed to solve six different mystery cases. Although her nosiness ruffles a few feathers around town, Beans' extreme curiosity pays off for her new community. Surviving the loss of her father and frequent moves around the United States, BEANS has made Mill Creek her real home at long last. When the teenager's middle school technology teacher, Mrs. Dorsett, reminds her National Junior Honor Society members and candidates about community service hours, BEANS willingly volunteers to help with the town's annual Thanksgiving Day food giveaway. She signs up her next-door neighbor, BALTHAZAR (BOOGER) BUGEROWSKI, and he agrees with reluctance. He's a year older and in high school, but he is smitten with her. He not only gets involved in the charity event, but also he plunges into his friend's newest adventure. Together, the two explore the mysterious ghost so the newest case gets underway.Of course, HADDIE (Booger's kid sister) once again gets involved along with sophomore VITO RUSAMANO, the local high school football quarterback who loves forensic science even more. Through the course of time, all four of the crew manage to overcome hurdles, especially hunting for clues and avoiding their nemesis, Officer Wallace (aka Mr. Law and Order).
