Publisher's Synopsis
Sometimes funny, sometimes poignant and sometimes tragic SPACE is a conversation between one woman and herself trying to face life and all it has thrown at her. CRAZY can't get herself organised- her house and her mind are a mess. Sanity is there to help her but she is also bossy and sarcastic at times. The play explores many issues; mental health, grief, loneliness, growing old and family relationships. This is the story of one woman's battle to find a way out of the chaos and into the Space. Where she finally finds serenity, peace, air, calm and ease (S.P.A.C.E) Notes for the production: Although the two characters are very different they are also two halves of the same whole. They must complement each other, although Sanity may be slightly slimmer they should ideally be the same height and age. Apart from the boxes which are essential, there need be no other set.
