This is the story of a girl who loves to play baseball. Set in the 1970s, Reba Mae surprises everyone by becoming the star of the boy's high school varsity baseball team, despite the discrimination she encounters. Dedicated to proving that women should not be barred from men's sports, she then determines to play on the men's baseball team in college. When she is, finally, drafted to play on a Major League baseball team in New York, she faces the greatest challenges of her life.
