Publisher's Synopsis
Fortunate Hove struggled with images that were presented to her in school books and tried to imitate them as role models but it appeared like there was a disconnection between her reality in the village and that of text book characters. While school presented a lot of valuable information to her, it was either too early or unrelated to her real life experiences. Identity looks at some of these disparities and how they psychologically affected her. She acknowledges the power to succeed in a person lies in the content that one is fed on educationally. Identity narrates experiences that educated her about some pitfalls of growing up in two worlds of one inspired by western civilization and the simple village education.
