Publisher's Synopsis
Eva Rozsnyavsky was born in 1924 in Hungary. She went to school to become a teacher, and for the first three years that she was a teacher she taught in Romania. During that time, WWII had started. Some of the battles were so close that from where she was teaching in Romania, she could hear Russian guns. Her boyfriend at the time, and future husband, Sandor Apathy, came to get her so she could be safe. They were married and moved to Germany in 1944. Germany was a very dangerous place to be during that time, with the war reaching its end. For six years after the war, Eva and her husband lived in a refugee camp. In 1951, Eva and Sandor were able to move to America, where Sandor was able to get his medical license, and where they raised their four children.
