Publisher's Synopsis
Here for the first time is the complete set (up to September 2017), of my songs and poems. Many are taken from my first book 'The Adventures of Old Pa and his Street Fire Songs and Poetry'. Plus there are many many more. At least 80 or more new songs and poems released here for the first time.. I was born in Inverness in 1949 and have lived in East Kilbride, London, near Heathrow and Saudi Arabia for 10 years. I am now retired and have lived in Spain for the past 7 years. I love music especially Dylan and Van but really love it all and still get a thrill when I hear something new today. Since I retired I started to write poems and songs and became quite prolific. Many are about the dark side of love. But there is also lighter stuff as well. I suppose I have been influenced by all the rock poets, Dylan, Cohen, Springsteen, Curtis, Staples etc, but with a hint of Rabbie and I would like to think a little Wordsworth. I would classify my poem/songs as street 'fire' poetry. That should just about cover it.
