Publisher's Synopsis
The components of The Car Girl (195,497 words) were written in 1982. The love story between a high school girl in auto shop and her teacher centered around the building of a street rod out of junk car parts. She had no idea that her teacher was a car designer himself testing an advanced automobile for a company that he worked for. The design ideas on his car have actually come to pass some thirty years after the book was written. Still, this is a love story that spans two generations - a mother and her daughter who is no less of a car girl than was her mother. The design advancements that she gives to the automotive world have yet to be realized. I sincerely hope that another thirty years does not have to pass before they come about!
