Though not too thrilled with the idea of having to spend her summer away from home, at least Marnie will have her friend, Wyatt, with her as she travels to Stevens Island, Maine for her cousin's wedding. And despite a few minor ups and downs it turns out to be a truly wonderful summer, better than she ever could have hoped for, as she reconnects with her family, and even makes a few new friends. Best of all, she gets to share it all with Wyatt. He's always been there for her, her best friend for as long as she can remember. As the summer progresses, though, she realizes that her feelings for him have begun to change, and she finds herself torn between seeing where these changes might lead them, and the possibility of losing everything she holds most dear.
