Publisher's Synopsis
This is the first play in a two play series originally performed separately. One of Shakespeare's most entertaining history plays, young Prince Hal is looked after by Sir John Falstaff among the common people. This version is shortened for amateur or professional troupes, classroom study in which more of The Bard's plays may be studied in less time. The editor, David R. Wellens, studied English at Amherst College and holds a Master of Arts degree in English Education from the University of South Florida.
