En 1606, a l'occasion du bapteme du Dauphin, Notre Dame de Paris fut somptueusement decoree. Toute la nef de l'eglise fut tapissee; un grand echafaud surmonte d'un dais fut dresse dans l'eglise, devant le choeur, pour placer les fonts. Trois petites chambres destinees a reposer le Dauphin et mesdames ses soeurs furent preparees dans l'eglise, ainsi que des tribunes vitrees pour le roi et la reine.
