For thefe purpofes I have employed all the wit and humourpfs which I. Am mafier in the following hifiory;wherein I have endeavoured to laugh mankind out of their favourite follies and vices. That he will excufe fome parts of it, if they fall ibort of that little merit which I h0pe may appear in others.
