These Sermons, preached in the Cathedral Church of my Diocese to large and attentive congregations, have not been written upon any set plan or system; but have been composed from week to week, upon subjects suggested either by texts occurring in the services of the day, or by some train of thought into which I had already been led by a previous Sermon.
