Publisher's Synopsis
Leslie, Ace, Emma, Drew, Yanni and Sam are all back with a brand new load of drama. The pressures of adulthood weigh heavier on them when the whole crew has to band together to take care of Leslie and brand new baby Layla, and try to figure out a way to get Ace out of prison. All except for Yanni. Jealousy and envy gets the better of her when seeing baby Layla, and the attention that she doesn't get from Sam leads her down the wrong road and into the arms of someone no one would expect. Vick is yet done with Emma and Drew is boiling on the inside. He wants to get rid of this dude but he and his girlfriend have bigger fish to fry when her anxiety and memories of her rape won't allow the couple to be intimate. Is it too much for Drew to stay in a relationship with her, and will he throw in the towel and leave her for good? Sam, without Yanni, is forced to the edge when he finds out about what she'd been doing in the dark and he may be in line next to catch a case, a body or a new bitch. Whichever comes first. With Ace behind bars and had heard no word from his father, he tries his best to keep his thoughts at bay when feeling like there's more that his woman is doing that she's not telling him. He worries that she's in dangerous territory and that there has to be some way for him to come home before something could happen to her. Will his fear tear the goon and goonette apart? Or will it make them stronger than they ever were? Bonds are broken and relationships are put to the test. A new character is introduced while a few old faces come out of the woodwork because of their grudges. Eyes are set on Leslie, seeing as how she's more vulnerable with her man away and with no one to protect her. A relationship is destroyed and shot to hell, while some broken hearts are mended and someone heads to the alter of a church. Will the girls in the hood come out of these binds alive? And will mercy strike twice and give them leeway to leave while they can? The story continues and the hood is as grimy and as murderous than it was before.
