After several adventurous months in two worlds, Kai is ready to relax. But when two strangers appear on the back of an enormous black dragon seeking a mysterious figure called the Keeper, he starts to feel like something is very wrong.
Sure enough, Kai soon starts to see signs that the very world itself is coming apart. Desperate for a solution, he and his friends start searching the world for clues and solutions, but are blocked at every turn by the mysterious strangers. Kwin, ever the fierce defender of her world, strangely decides to leave them alone.
As cities collapse and oceans rise, Kai and his friends are faced with dwindling options, and they don't have much time. Determined to find the answer no matter who opposes them, they race the clock to search the entire world for the Keeper, a figure they are told can save their beloved dream world when no one else can.
