Publisher's Synopsis
Once a humble young boy, Roger's mind frame shifted when he was viciously assaulted by thugs in his community. Confined to a politically influenced ghetto in Kingston, Jamaica, his address eventually led to an attack on his life by opposing forces to his neighborhood.
Disgruntled by the near-death experience, Roger abandoned a pledge to stay clear of the ruthless streets, a vow he and his friends, Desmond and Errol, had once agreed upon. Hitting the streets with full force, he went at the culprits responsible for his near demise. His actions were so brazen that he eventually had to leave the island or face death from the country's deadly police force.
Making it to America, Roger sought refuge in Brooklyn, New York. The atmosphere was new, but he had no choice but to adjust to the unfamiliar terrain. He quickly noticed that, as himself, many other Jamaican's had fled their country of birth, landing in New York City. Including his enemies...
Reverting to his new way of life, gangsterism, Roger hit the streets of New York with a brutal force never-before-seen in the United States. Eventually, he became a marked man by the proper authorities, who would stop at nothing to fix, what they termed, the Jamaican problem plaguing the city.
